Withings Incorporates ECG Into its Analog Watches & Blood Pressure Monitor

Withings announced EGC monitoring for their latest analog watches and blood pressure monitor at CES 2019.

First introduced by Kardia, and later added to the Series 4 Apple Watch, electrocardiogram on demand gives you the opportunity to take an ECG anytime and anywhere to detect AFib. Atrial Fibrillation is a common heart rhythm disorder that can lead to heart failure and risk for stroke.

The Move ECG is a soon-to-be cleared FDA-cleared device, with a 12-month battery life, that’s water resistant with swim tracking that even features an altimeter for accurate stair climbing.

Withings also updated their blood pressure monitor with a few more heart health features. The BMP Core is a connected blood pressure monitor that can detect a variety of cardiovascular diseases, do EGC monitoring, as well as deliver accurate blood pressure, heart rate and even includes a digital stethoscope.

This revolutionary at-home device can point to atrial fibrillation (AFib) and valvular heart disease (VHD). It features an LED matrix screen for instant feedback and works via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Results can be synced and reviewed via Wi-Fi with the Health Mate app for iOS or Android. Health Mate can also track your activity, weight and sleep.

No release date or pricing have been set, but we expect more information to follow sometime in Q2 of this year.
