Bond 25 Scheduled to Begin Shooting in March

With a scheduled February 14th 2020 release date, the twenty-fifth installment in Ian Fleming’s Bond series begins shooting in Canada this March.

Following Danny Boyle’s departure as Director last year in August over “creative differences”, Cary Joji Fukunaga was announced shortly thereafter to take the helm. EON Productions, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson released the following statement:

“We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.”

Cary Juji Fukunaga’s directing credits include Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, Jane Eyre and True Detective Season One. He also co-created The Alienist (2018) and has written most of the films he’s directed. Fukunaga initially trained at film school as a cinematographer and has produced, or served as executive producer, on a majority of his projects as well.

Bond 25 stars Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Daniel Craig and is likely to pick up where Spectre left off. No confirmation yet if Christoph Waltz will return as Blofeld. Rami Malek (Mr. Robot and Bohemian Rhapsody) is rumored to be cast as the main villain.

Daniel Craig as James Bond

This was expected to be Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond. However, recent rumors suggest that Barbara Broccoli has no interest in his replacement and is hopeful he’ll at least do one more.
