Apple Music Subscribers Can Soon Stream on US Flights At No Extra Cost

American Airlines passengers that are current Apple Music subscribers can soon enjoy streaming over 50 million songs, playlists and music videos with no Wi-Fi purchase required.

Flights equipped with Viasat satellite Wi-Fi will allow passengers to connect to the Wi-Fi using their device at no cost and log into their Apple Music subscription starting February 1.

“Our guests want to make the most of their time when flying us. That’s why we’re investing in faster Wi-Fi, a variety of entertainment options, and why we’re so excited to introduce Apple Music to more of our customers,”

Janelle Anderson, Vice President of Global Marketing

Customers who don’t have an Apple Music subscription can sign up onboard the flight to receive free access for three months. Subscribers can enjoy city-themed playlists, exclusive content, artist interviews and the latest music on the Beats 1 global livestream.
